What is Truth?

Recently, a Christian musician gave up his faith in Christ saying, “I want genuine truth.”

I was reminded of Jesus standing before Pilate (John 18):

Jesus explained: “The reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

Pilate retorted: “What is truth?”

Genuine truth isn't based on feelings, opinions, or scientific theories. 

Just as Truth stood in front of Pilate, Truth stands in front of us every time we read Scripture (Hebrews 6:4-8).

I suppose God could have given us more proof:

 He could have appeared to us in bodily form teaching us His truth.

Oh, yes, He did that!

 He could have left us a book of truth containing the plan of salvation and all we need to live a godly life.

Oh, yes, He did that!

 He could have caused His truth to change the hearts and lives of millions of people throughout history.

Oh, yes, He did that!

 Truth is evident to all who genuinely seek it (Jeremiah 29:13; Matthew 7:8).

    Sadly another female gospel singer has decided to deconstruct and not be a Christian anymore. If you truly belong to Christ it is impossible to walk away from him as anyone in Christ is a totally new and changed creation.
