People enter sweepstakes all the time, hoping to win huge cash prizes.
The chances are slim.
For example, a person’s chance of winning the top prize from Publisher Clearing House is one in two billion (source).
Not only are sweepstakes hard to win, they are sometimes merely deceptive scams to get personal information.
But there’s one treasure far better than any sweepstakes and it’s available to everyone. The person who gives this treasure already has all of our personal information, and He's not selling it.
Psalm 19:7-11 describes God's Word as this treasure which is more desirable than fine gold, reviving our souls, giving us wisdom and insight, and warning us of things that will damage our hearts and minds.
And we need not enter a sweepstakes to win it. Instead of waiting for someone to knock on our door with a million dollar check, we can knock on God’s door anytime.
