From the beginning of history men and women have underestimated God.
In the Garden of Eden, God warned Adam and Eve that eating one particular fruit would cause their death.
Cain underestimated God's warning and killed his brother (Genesis 4:6-8).
It's foolish to underestimate the importance of God's commands.
And it's equally foolish to underestimate His ability to help us with our problems.
“Sovereign Lord, you made the earth and the sky by your great power and might; nothing is too difficult for you.” Jeremiah 32:17 (GNT)
I’m ashamed to say I sometimes look at my problems and underestimate God’s ability to comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-5), guide (Psalm 32:8), and use all things for good (Romans 8:28).
But I’m praying to be different.
Dear Lord, may we quit underestimating You!
