Everything God does is rich with meaning.
For example, He could have made a black and white world, but He didn't.
So let's take one color - green - and think of some ways God uses it. There's so much green in creation, I wonder if it's not one of God's favorite colors.
It's an appealing color, representing life and health.
Those who choose God as their Shepherd find rest in green pastures (Psalm 23:2).
Proverbs says, "Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf." Proverbs 11:28
And God promises that those who follow Him "will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green" (Psalm 92:14).
In warm climates, we enjoy green year round. In colder climates God gives evergreen trees to remind us that life is always present.
Whenever you see the color green, think of the messages God has embedded in His creation (Romans 1:20).

ReplyDeleteI *just* found a piece of artwork with our Lord as the "Tree of Life", so green and beautiful. I saved it as my desktop wallpaper as I had been doing a study on terebinth trees in scripture.
