Most of us are offended by evil and suffering in the world.
If we were merely products of evolution, we wouldn’t care about these things. Evolutionary theory is based on the strongest surviving and the weak being eliminated. There's no moral foundation or love in this theory of origins.
Genesis 1:27 explains the reason we are concerned about evil: "God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
Because our God is 100% loving, just and good and because He made us in His image, we care about evil. God gave us a basic understanding that some things are right and some are wrong--He "wrote this on our hearts" (Rom. 1:18-20; 2:14,15).
Isn’t it ironic that we so often blame God for evil when He’s the one who gave us our concern for it in the first place?
