Ease or Endurance

This 1-minute devotion explains how an easy life can stunt our spiritual growth. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

Many Christians are confused about Christianity. I’m one of them.

Sometimes I start thinking Christian life is about God sparing me from every difficulty.

Then I read verses like Romans 15:3-4:
“For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: ‘The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.’ For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.”

If everything was easy in life, we'd all be shallow, selfish, immature Christians, unable to endure hardship.

But God’s purpose is to make us into His image.

People and circumstances insulted the Lord Jesus, and they will also insult you and me.

But that gives us reason to rejoice…for we can learn endurance by grabbing encouragement and hope from His Word.

Are you under fire today? Grab His Word.
