When facing adversity, we Christ-followers must remember:
1. God is cheering us on.
Romans 8:31: “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
2. We are overcomers.
3. Good is greater than evil.
1 John 4:4: “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome [spirits from Satan], because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
4. God comforts.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4: “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles.”
5. Peace is always possible.
John 14:27: “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.”
