Satan's Head Crushed

It's a wonderful Clue in Genesis 3:15, a reality in Christ, a reminder in Romans 16:20.

After the fall, God condemned the serpent to crawl on his belly (Genesis 3:14), and God immediately gave mankind a “clue” about Christ’s victory over Satan.

Talking to the serpent, God said, “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3:15

Satan “struck the heel” of Christ, and throughout our earthly lives, we have to deal with Satan “striking our heels” (1 Peter 5:6-11).

But Christ crushed Satan’s head (1 John 3:8). He has already done this legally, but we won’t see it completely fulfilled until He returns and puts all of His enemies “under his feet” and under our feet (1 Corinthians 15:22-25).

Until then, we can trust and obey our Lord and look forward to the crushing of Satan's head:

“I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”  ~ Romans 16:19-20

If you are going through difficulties, recite this passage often! If you'd like to hear this passage put to music, see Romans 16:19. I've been experiencing some attacks from Satan, and this song has encouraged me.
