Do you want refreshment in your spirit? Would you like to prosper spiritually and live a life that pleases the Lord?
Then repent whenever you sin.
💛 Repentance brings refreshment and it’s a non-negotiable element of salvation.
Acts 3:19: "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord."
💛 Repentance allows us to prosper spiritually.
Proverbs 28:13: "Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy."
💛 Genuine repentance is followed by actions.
Matthew 3:8: "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance."
Read 1 Thessalonians 1 and note how the Thessalonians proved their repentance.
💛 Repentance keeps us in close relationship with the Lord.
Psalm 51:17: "The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God."
James 4:8: "Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded."
If we want to refresh our spirits, live a life that pleases God, and prosper spiritually, we need to repent when we sin.
