Living Sacrifices
Old Testament sacrifices foreshadowed Christ's final sacrifice for our sins (Hebrews 10:1-18).
Those sacrifices were killed.
We also offer a sacrifice to God.
A living sacrifice.
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." Romans 12:1
What does it mean to be a living sacrifice?
The next verse (12:2) explains:
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will."
As living sacrifices, we:
1. Refuse to conform to culture's ungodly principles.
2. Renew our minds in God’s Word.
3. Sincerely seek to do God’s will.
Christ told us this would involve self-denial and trust in God's Word (Luke 9:23-26).
Dear Christians, we’re facing great opposition. Let’s never forget Christ’s sacrifice or our own.

Thank you for sharing this, it meant a lot to me....sadly we have so many Christians and Churches who are hearing things not so nice said about them for cancelling their services , many our Congregation's today are made up of elderly people , ours certainly is at our Church as well. We have to be sensible about this very serious issue.
