Some Christians are influenced by evolution because the vast majority of scientists believe it.(1)
But this shouldn't surprise us. The majority have always rejected the things of God (Matthew 7:13-14).
If scientists admit God is their Creator, they'll have to trust that He knows what's best for them and they'll have to acknowledge their sins.
God predicted that His ability to speak things into existence would be a linchpin issue for mankind (2 Peter 3:3-5).
Evolution is merely man's way of writing the Designer out of the obvious design (Romans 1:20).(2)
Scientific evidence doesn't prove or disprove creation or evolution. Both beliefs require faith (Hebrews 11:3).
Christians know God is capable of speaking things into existence (Genesis 1, Psalm 33:6, Psalm 33:9). So what reason would He have to waste millions of years on a process involving death, decay, and destruction? What purpose would He have to create useless organisms? What joy would He have in seeing the strong overpower the weak?
He wouldn't. He didn't.

(1) You might be interested in a recent interview with a Yale professor who admits evolution is an enforced dogma among scientists: "...scientists are not free to draw any reasonable conclusion about evolution. They are under a dire career threat if they should do so. This is how the scientific 'consensus' in favor of Darwinism is maintained: by fear."

Anyone with an ounce of sense knows that evolution is just a theory; a theory that has not, nor never will be, replicated by other scientists. I've never understood the mentality of the alleged scientists who proclaim evolution as a fact...I'm now 67 and have wondered about this since I was in grade school!!
