Fast food restaurants are quick, easy places to eat. They attract us with mouth-watering pictures, but much of what they sell fails to nourish our bodies.
There are "fast food" life choices as well, attracting our attention with worldly pleasures. They beckon us to give our time, effort, and devotion to things that won't nourish our souls.
And many people do it, spending their purity on meaningless affairs, their minds on empty human philosophies, their souls on false gods, and their strength on worldly pursuits.
Isaiah 55:2 asks us, "Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy?"
Instead, God wants us to spend our lives on things that matter.
Today let's ask God if we're giving our hearts and our resources to anything that doesn't nourish our souls.
Let's move past fast food stands and nourish our souls with the bread of life (John 6:35).
Beautifully explained. Thank u :)
