When kids eat snacks all day, they usually don't have room for dinner.

This is a good analogy for our spiritual diet.

We need to make sure that television, sports, and other types of entertainment don't crowd out Bible study, prayer time, and Christian fellowship.

We need to seek our most important nutrition first and refuse dessert until we've eaten enough to keep our souls well-nourished.

"Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." Matthew 6:33

Some more "food for thought":

"Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4

"Taste and see that the LORD is good." Psalm 34:8

"How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!"  Psalm 119:103

"Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart." Jeremiah 15:16
