Regrets, mistreatment, injustice and unexplained difficulties can knock us off our feet. But Paul tells us how to get up and keep running:
“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead” we “press on toward the goal to win the prize” (Philippians 3:13-14)
Did you know that Scripture mentions physical training and compares it to spiritual training (1 Timothy 4:8)?(1) Our life on earth is training for heaven:
- Straining to know God’s love that overcomes fear and unbelief even when we don’t understand our circumstances. (We do this by knowing His Word.)
- Pressing on in prayer, knowing we're forgiven, knowing He’s our strength and justice, even when we don’t see or feel the results.
- Focusing on the goal, knowing God will accomplish His purposes in us and through us.
The prize: fulfillment of God's purposes in this life and eternal life with Christ when our race here comes to an end.

Praise God, yes! We have to focus on our destination not on the road which is confusing and it will slow us down, let's go... so much to do and So little time 😊
