He's Scared For You

This is a sweet true story about a small at-risk child and a Bible verse. Be encouraged! #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

"Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you."1 Peter 5:7

Stephanie worked with at-risk preschoolers, teaching them about Jesus. One day they memorized 1 Peter 5:7 and each child took their turn reciting the verse.

But one little girl proclaimed, “Cast all your anxiety on him because he’s scared for you.”

I imagine this child's paraphrase was especially meaningful to her because her family life was a bit "scary."

Obviously, Christ is never "scared," but He can certainly calm our fears and bind up our broken hearts.

When we cast our cares on Him, He can give us peace and hope despite our difficult circumstances (Philippians 4:6-7).

This truth is also found in Psalm 55:22 with the promise that God will sustain us.

What’s troubling you today?

Problems with your children? Your health? A loved one’s health? Financial concerns? A broken relationship? A new job? An old job? Your past? Your future?

Whatever it is, cast your concerns, fears, confusion, challenges, and difficulties on Him. He loves you and will sustain you.

  4. I read this on my phone yesterday while waiting for my son...and dropped back to encourage you with a comment :-) This was both cute and so true that we don't have to be scared. Even as adults (who are more apt not to admit it) we are scared because of something in our life and need to trust God. It is wonderful that He isn't really scared for us because He loves us so much and has a plan for whatever is scaring us.
