Genuine believers have a healthy fear of the Lord which leads to respect for His commands, precepts and principles.
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding..." Psalm 111:10
And this healthy fear for God's commands, precepts and principles is what starts our transformation process.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
Yes, genuine faith in Jesus always results in learning what pleases Him. But more than that, it results in doing what pleases Him. "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." James 1:22
To love God is "to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome" (1 John 5:3)
When we fear the Lord, we find it a joy to obey Him.
