Scripture Proves that God Likes Parties!

Scripture shows that Holidays--(originally "holy days")--were God's idea

Celebrate!
Party!
Day off!

Life is often repetitive, same-old-same-old.

Holidays make life special.

Holidays--(originally "holy days")--were God's idea.

He instituted all sorts of feasts and festivals in the Old Testament so His people could interrupt their routine, enjoy each other, and enjoy Him (Old Testament Festivals; Holy Days).

It's kind of neat to know that we serve a God who loves to party.

And He's a God worth celebrating.

So let’s ask the Creator of the universe to give us some creative ideas for celebrating His faithfulness and provision this week.

Here's a few ideas:
  • A Bible Club with a fun craft for your kids.
  • A simple but festive lunch with your Bible study.
  • A special dessert with your small group.
  • Any event, big or small, where you can share what God is doing in your lives and celebrate His love.
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” Psalm 118:24

Many women are struggling in their relationships with their moms-in-laws. I've written a series of posts to help:

The first is Called Bless Your Marriage: Love Your Mother-in-Law and the links for the other 5 articles in the series are at the bottom of that post.

  1. A nice post to start off my day (well, it is well underway, actually)and also a good encouragement to carry through on summer ideas on having a neighbor or two over, and friends over.

Your Mother-in-Law series looks so inviting, so I'll have to come back later for another dose of your wonderful posts.
