There Are Always Reasons to be Thankful

This 1-minute devotion talks about the ways that thanksgiving prepares our hearts for true prayer, fellowship, and worship and also makes us healthier. Read it and be encouraged! #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

I memorized Psalm 100 the first year I was a believer.

Verse four is one of my favorites: “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

It’s so important to enter God’s presence with a thankful heart. Thanksgiving always leads to praise, both of which allow us to hear God's voice more clearly.

Yes! Giving thanks prepares our hearts for prayer and fellowship.

Even when we’re entering less “holy” places, thanksgiving can change our hearts and minds.

For example, if we enter our workplace thanking God for the good things, we’ll be healthier, friendlier, kinder, and more appreciative.

There's always, always, always something to be thankful for! If you have any doubts about that statement, check out the passages below:

Philippians 4:6Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Ephesians 5:20: always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Colossians 4:2: Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

1 Thessalonians 5:18: give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
