I can't believe it. It makes me sad.
The first man born on earth murdered the second man born on earth, his own brother (Genesis 4).
God warned him; he ignored God's warning.
First murder.
First-degree murder.
First recorded sarcasm from guilty lips (Genesis 4:9).
Not sorry for what he'd done.
Not sorry for his brother or grieving parents.
Sorry for himself (Genesis 4:13).
God loved; he hated. And then he wallowed in self-pity.
"Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were righteous." 1 John 3:12
God clearly warned Cain, but Cain chose to sin (Genesis 4:7).
How God must have grieved to see Adam's firstborn son become Satan's disciple.
And Cain's legacy continues: Mankind daily grieves God's heart with unbelief, cruelty, mockery, and pride.
💙 But God's legacy also continues: He patiently offers His love and forgiveness to any who will accept it.
Let's remember this truth and let it transform our hearts and minds (Romans 12:1-2)!

how sad! yet so true. our heavenly father is an all loving and forgiving god! we need to ask him for the forgiveness of our sins. Amen!
ReplyDeleteBut can I be forgiven when I constantly do it over n over. I ask that he take it away but I do it anyway. My heart is right but my flesh is weak...
ReplyDeleteDear Vena,
DeleteIf you are having no victory over your sins, I encourage you to make sure you have asked Christ to be your Savior. I don't know you, but sometimes people think that growing up in a Christian home makes them a Christian, but you need to repent of your sins and ask Christ to be your Lord and Savior.
If you are sure that you have already done this, be sure that you are having regular fellowship with other Christians, reading your Bible and praying. These are the things that help you renew your mind and stand firm.
If you need help with certain sins, I recommend you find a prayer partner or Christian who will meet with you, pray with you, and keep you accountable.
And I'm praying that you reach out to the right people for help.
God is the best solution to our problems I resently repent from my sinful behavior now I'm healed because the Holy Spirit was/is involved..
ReplyDeleteGood morning, this is such a powerful message. Thank you for reminding us all of this powerful deception from the dark side. We were taught in Bible college to question are we mourning our sin or our destruction? I pray it often and have taught my children to face the truth and mourn their sins through repentance. It's a game changer. God bless the works of your hands. Ciao from South Africa, Lee-Ann
ReplyDeleteSelf pity and victimization always lead to catastrophic actions. I consider it like fuel for evil, diabolic behavior. It starts from within you, the heart.
