Satan hissed his evil lies and Adam and Eve chose to sin.
In that terrible moment, they damaged God's perfect world and rejected God's perfect love.
If we'd been in God's place, we'd probably have destroyed mankind then and there. But our loving God immediately set a plan of redemption in place and started whispering clues.
In every book of the Old Testament we can hear those clues, if we're listening.
And the very first clue came when God addressed the serpent after the Fall in Genesis 3:15: "And I will put enmity [hostility] between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he [the offspring of Eve] will crush your head, and you [the serpent/devil] will strike his heel."
Whispered within this verse is the promise that Satan and his demon offspring would be at odds with Eve and her offspring. But the most important offspring of woman, Jesus Christ, would crush Satan's head with a fatal wound.
Don't overlook this wonderful truth: while the taste of the forbidden fruit was still on Adam and Eve's lips, our loving God was already whispering clues about His gracious way to save them...His way to save you and me.

Verses about Jesus crushing Satan's head:
Romans 16:20: The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
Hebrews 2:14-15: Since the children have flesh and blood, [Jesus] too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
1 John 3:8: The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work.
Revelation 20:10: And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

This was a great piece except for one part that did not ring true to my heart, Where it states

I am not sure if it just worded incorrectly or not yet I believe
God's plan of redemption/salvation was set into place before the foundation of the world.. God knew that Adam and Eve would fall.. Thus God knew that a plan of salvation would be need before the foundation of the World and prearranged salvation through Jesus.. For His Word states
Ephesians 1
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
1 Peter 1
He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Perhaps I could have written "He immediately set a foreordained plan of redemption in place."
The point of my statement was the fact that most human beings would not have had the patience of God. God could have foreordained our destruction, but He didn't.
I hope this clarifies what I wrote.

ReplyDeleteI understand what your purpose of this post was and found it to wonderfully express God's mercy and grace towards us.. And I am sorry if I offended you with what I wrote it was not my intention..
As humans we easily can miss word something especially when it hard to express what is upon your heart yet as Brothers and Sisters in Christ we must address these errors in love even though they were not intentional. We never know when one new in Christ or one seeking the Truth can be confused by our miss wording.. Even the evil one himself will use our errors to corrupt those who are weak in the faith.. I am always grateful when someone points out my miss wording for I would never want to lead one astray unintentionally..
There is a belief held by several Christian groups that God's perfect plan was changed/destroyed after Adam and Eve's sin/fall. Thus why I addressed your post as being miss worded and not intended as being misleading for I was not sure of your belief. I continued with what the bible had stated for we never know who is reading our blogs/post and the Truth must be seen as post quickly circulates the social medias.. I hope this makes sense for it is hard for me to write what is upon my heart..
