Don't Underestimate God's Word!!

We often talk about the importance of Scripture, but do we really understand the power God’s Word has in our lives?

God’s Word is not like human words.

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.” 1 Corinthians 4:20

In Isaiah 55:10-11, the Lord explains that just like rain waters the earth and seeds produce plants, His Word achieves His purposes.

Feeling low? Nothing can change your heart and mind like God’s Word with passages like John 14:27:
 

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” ~ Jesus 

Seeking direction? God’s Word is filled with principles for making wise choices.
 

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” James 1:5-6

Don’t take God’s Word for granted. If you aren’t reading it daily, and memorizing and reciting it throughout the day, you are like a starving man who refuses a delicious meal sitting right in front of him.
