Faith is Full of Contrasts

Christian faith is more than just a belief. It’s a way of life. It’s active and alive, and it's full of contrasts:

1. Faith listens - Psalm 46:10; James 1:19.

    But it also speaks - Mark 16:15; Colossians 4:6.

2. Faith receives comfort - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.

    But it also gives comfort - 2 Corinthians 1:5-6.

3. Faith is blessed - Ephesians 1:3.

    But it also blesses - Matthew 20:25-28.

4. Faith rests - Matthew 11:28.

    But it also works - James 2:26.

5. Faith prospers - Jeremiah 29:11.

    But it also sacrifices - Mark 8:34.

6. Faith heals - James 5:16.

    But it also suffers - 2 Corinthians 4:16-17; 1 Peter 4:1. 

7. Faith loves - 1 Peter 4:8.

    But it also hates - Romans 12:9.

8. Faith is valued - Matthew 5:16.

    But it's also despised - John 15:19.

Faith in Christ is more than facts,
More than thoughts or worthy acts.
 
Christ tells me to count the cost
Lay down my life, pick up my cross.

For only genuine faith in Christ
could save and heal my broken life.
