Hearts at Home

We've all heard the saying "Home is where the heart is."

I know it's true for me.

I've made over 40 moves in my life, and every house, apartment, trailer, and condo have become a home because I'm with my loved ones, those people I treasure most.

That adds special meaning to Luke 12:34: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

If the Lord is the treasure of our hearts, His purposes, commands and Words will be our "home."

When we seek Him, it's because we know that one day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else (Psalm 84:10).

When we are hurt or persecuted, we find shelter in His "wings" (Psalm 63:7).

We let His character and principles shape our homes because we know that:

"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures." Proverbs 24:3-4

Yes, home is where the heart is.
