When the Foundations are Being Destroyed

Just as our Lord loves making people wise, Satan loves making people fools (Psalm 14:1-3; 2 Corinthians 4:4; 2 Timothy 2:24-26).

The "god of this world" promotes:

⮞ The theory of evolution (2 Peter 3:3-5), even though God's divine nature is obvious in creation (Romans 1:20).
⮞ One-night stands, abortion, pornography, and ungodly sexual relationships, even though these things damage people's souls (Galatians 6:8).
⮞ False philosophies about self-esteem, false views of Jesus, and other distorted beliefs that corrupt people's minds.

Sadly, Satan's foolishness is escalating: People who wouldn't let their children choose their bedtime or their diet are now letting them choose their gender! (example)

As foolishness escalates, intolerance toward Christians also escalates.

Like the psalmist, many of us are asking: "When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Psalm 11:3

Dear Christians, we must be as "shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves" (Matthew 10:16). We must know what God's Word teaches and stand firm (Ephesians 6:14).  

We need to be very careful to speak the truth in love because God's commands are not weapons to use against people (Ephesians 4:15). They are principles based on God's wisdom and love for the purpose of protecting our souls. If we don't care about those who are lost, we shouldn't be sharing God's truths.

Remember: Satan is not God's opposite. Truth is more powerful than lies (Romans 5:20)!
