Life can leave us with burdens of sadness, weariness, stress, disappointment, and fear.
These burdens are impossible to carry on our own. We need God’s strength and power. We need to depend on God, not on ourselves (2 Corinthians 1:8-9).
1. So we bring our burdens to God in prayer.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
2. We cast them off!
“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22
3. We do this daily!
“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” Psalm 68:19
4. We remember that He cares.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
A practical way to bring our burdens to the Lord is to daily name them in prayer and thank Him for taking them.
God's offer to bear our burdens is an incredible aspect of His love for us. Let's take Him up on His offer!

When burdens abound, as they so frequently do, the only sensible thing to do is go to our Lord, as He has the answers, the whys and the wherefores; and, He is quick to give us His peace. Thank you Lord.
