For the Love of a Woman

The story of Adam and Eve contains an important message for wives. This short devotion explains. #Marriage #Bible

Genesis 3 reveals an interesting aspect of romantic love. When Adam stood next to Eve and heard the serpent call God a liar, Adam was not deceived. He knew Satan was lying (1 Timothy 2:14).

Yet, for the love of Eve, he did the unimaginable--he ate the forbidden fruit. He sinned willfully and fatally.

This offers some important warnings to married couples:

1. Wives, check with your husband before making important decisions, especially if they don't sound quite right.

2. Wives, realize that your husband loves you and wants to please you. Don't put him in a position where he must choose between you and God.

3. Husbands, lovingly but firmly lead. Never compromise biblical principles in order to please your wife.

4. Both husbands and wives, use your influence with each other for good.

  • Strive to know God's Word so you will not be deceived (2 Timothy 2:15).
  • Shun worldly philosophies that are not compatible with God's Word (Colossians 2:8).
  • Ask God for ways to gently and lovingly inspire your spouse to godliness in all areas of life (Hebrews 10:24).

Let's learn from the story of Adam and Eve and develop marriages that please God.

  2. I told my boyfriend that we will be together in worshipping God.
