Why Do the Nations Plot in Vain?

Do you know why the majority of people fight Biblical principles? This devotion explains.

Do you ever wonder why people turn against God “without reason” (John 15:18-25)?

“Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, ‘Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles’” (Psalm 2:1-3).

Why have so many governments in our present world banded together to shame Christians who seek to rescue innocent unborn life? Why have so many joined forces to shame us for warning people about sexual lifestyles that damage their souls?

What our world sees as “chains and shackles,” God created as guard rails and safety nets. His love is like the love of a father protecting his child from a molester, like the love of a mother keeping her child warm and fed.

But our world welcomes the molesters and encourages us to go naked and hungry into the dark alleys of life.

“Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them” (Hosea 14:9).

Let's listen carefully to God and reject the lies of culture. Let's believe what Jesus teaches in John 15:18-25 and realize we'll never fit in with the world—nor do we want to!

There are many forces in our world who claim to know what Scripture teaches. Beware of their propaganda. See More Ex-vangelical Propaganda: Bart Ehrman as a current example. If you are unaware of the war waged against true Christianity by the ex-vangelical community, see Beware of Ex-vangelical Teachings.
