"Dead" People Love Purity

Christ commands us to die to ourselves and this 1-minute devotion addresses one aspect of dying to self: Purity. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

Christians are in a good process of “death” - dying to ourselves and living for Christ (Matthew 16:25), and this involves dying to impure, fleshly desires and seeking purity in Christ.

Paul reminds us in Romans 6:
"We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?... our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.”

Dying to impurity is like waking from a cold, dark grave and walking into the warm sunlight (Ephesians 5:8-14).

"For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit...And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires."  Galatians 5:17; 5:24.

Are you giving life to any fleshly desires? Seek God's help in dying to them.

It's hard to die, but it's the only way to be fully alive!(1)
