5 Ways to Effectively Run Your Race of Faith

Our faith is described as a "race" several places in Scripture. This 1-minute devotion offers 5 ways to run more effectively. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

In some ways, faith is a walk. In other ways, it's a daily marathon.

1. We train diligently.
"Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever." 1 Corinthians 9:25

See Improving our Faith Performance

2. We're aware of "former runners" cheering us on.
"Since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses ..." Hebrews 12:1

See Voices from The Great Cloud of Witnesses.

3. We don't let sin slow us down.
"let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles."  Hebrews 12:1

See Running With Purpose.

4. We always keep Jesus in sight.
"And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith." Hebrews 12:1

See Counting the Cost of Following Christ.

5. We run like nothing else matters.
"I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me..." Acts 20: 24

So let's fight the good fight, dear Christians, finish the race, and keep the faith (2 Timothy 4:7).
