Standing Firm on the Word

The Time has come when Christians must choose their side, standing firmly with God or with culture.

Dear Christians, God's Word is under increasing attack. So let's remember that believer
s have always had to choose between an accurate or worldly view of Scripture.

Paul made a pledge that we also must make: "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." Romans 1:16

We understand how serious it is to be ashamed of God's Word:

"If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels." Jesus, Mark 8:38

We should not be surprised by the way God's Word is rejected or the way Christians are despised by popular culture:

"In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.  But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it."  2 Timothy 3:12-14

Let's start each day asking God to help us stand firm, ready to graciously defend His Word even if it brings us rejection and mistreatment.

The Time has come when Christians must choose their side, standing firmly with God or with culture.
