All Nations, All Races

The story of the Ethiopian eunuch teaches us 7 important truths. This 1-minute devotion discusses the first of these: Love for all peoples and races.

When Philip evangelized the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8:26-39, God revealed 7 Wonderful Truths.

Truth #1: The gospel crosses all racial and ethnic barriers.

God chose Israel and prepared them to share the gospel with the world. From the beginning, they were blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:3). Sadly, the Jews began thinking of themselves as better than others.

In Galatians 2 Paul even had to rebuke Peter for his prejudice.

The conversion of this black foreigner was an important message to the early church and to us today: bigotry has no place in the body of Christ.

"Whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen." 1 John 4:20

We in the family of God are related by the blood of Christ:

"I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands." Revelation 7:9

Even if your attitudes are only slightly prejudiced, I encourage you to seek God's forgiveness and ask Him to restore your heart and mind in this area.
