When Loved Ones Aren't Saved

6 Things to do when you have unsaved loved ones. Let this 1-minute devotion inspire you.

Most of us have unsaved loved ones, and it can pierce our hearts to know they might not spend eternity with us in Heaven.

How do we deal with this terrible prospect?

1. We don’t try to “think around it.”
We accept what Scripture says and don’t succumb to false doctrines about universal salvation (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

2. We pray for our loved ones regularly.
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." Colossians 4:2

3. We ask God for opportunities to share the gospel with them.
"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." Colossians 4:6

4. We trust God's love.
He will give our loved ones every chance possible to follow Him into eternity (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

5. We draw closer to God.
He will give us wisdom, comfort, and peace no matter what happens (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

6. We put Jesus first.
We don't let our disappointments affect our love for God (Matthew 10:37).

    1. I'm so sorry. I know that can be heart-breaking. I pray that your father will open up to the Lord.

    2. My parents don't listen either so I prayed God would send someone they would listen to. It really is amazing how He answered that. My mom let someone pray for her for the first time ever. Never stop praying and never give up hope. Even if we don't see their salvation in person we don't know what their last confession will be.
