The Seed is Not the Problem

An interesting look at the parable of the sower. This 1-minute devotion reminds you not to let "hard-path" people discourage you. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible #Devotions

In Matthew 13:1-23, Luke 8:4-15, and Mark 4:1-20 Jesus tells the parable of the sower, explaining four types of people who hear God’s Word.

The first group mentioned are those who hear God’s Word, but their hearts are like hard paths. The Word just lays there until it is trampled on (Luke 8:5) or until Satan swoops in like a bird and steals it.

Birds steal plant seeds because they like them. Satan steals God's Word because he hates it.

Jesus wants us to know that even though God’s Word is alive (Hebrews 4:12), perfect (Psalm 19:7), God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16), eternal (Psalm 119:89), sweet, and priceless (Psalm 19:10), some people will completely reject it.

But we mustn't let these hard-path people discourage us from sharing the gospel.

The seed is not the problem. The soil is the problem.
