I love the concept of shining. Scripture uses it often.
Many passages talk about God’s light shining on us.(1)
For example:
☆ "For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ." 2 Corinthians 4:6
And when Christ's light shines on us, we can’t help but reflect it!
☆ "Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever." Daniel 12:3
☆ "Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father." Matthew 13:43
When we come to Christ, we pass from darkness to light and we shine because we walk in His light (Ephesians 5:8-14).
We are warned not to hide our light but to let it shine so people may see our good deeds and glorify God (Matthew 5:14-16).
So let’s shine (Philippians 2:14-15)!
