Just a Little Bit More

Greed is a problem among rich and poor alike. This 1-Minute Devotion explains the Biblical solution.

Materialism can corrupt us. Let's set our minds on things above...

“By the time Rockefeller died in 1937, his assets equaled 1.5% of America's total economic output.

"To control an equivalent share today would require a net worth of about $340 billion dollars, more than four times that of Bill Gates, currently the world's richest man.” (source)

A man once asked Rockefeller, “How much money is enough?” He replied, “Just a little bit more.” (source)

Wealthy people have a greater temptation to serve money instead of God (Matthew 19:24), but greed affects people in every economic strata (Matthew 6:24).

The only way to overcome this materialistic master is to daily submit ourselves to our heavenly Master.

"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." Colossians 3:2

If someone asks us how much is enough time with God in His Word and prayer, we should all respond, “Just a little bit more.”
