Sometimes less is more and more is less because Jesus notices what we keep as well as what we give.
For example, Jesus watched people giving money to God's work and said the widow who'd given pennies had given more than the high rollers. Luke 21:1-4
Our real values in life are revealed by what we keep and what we give, whether time, money, or devotion.
Today, let's take some time to ponder Christ's warnings against being stingy toward God (Luke 12:16-21) and remember His Words below:
"Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions" (Luke 12:15).

ReplyDeleteHi Gail! You will never know how much your 1 Minute Bible Love Notes have helped me in my faith!💟😀✝. I have spread the news of 1MBLN to everyone I have an opportunity to speak with about Jesus, the Bible and studying the Bible! You are truly a blessing to me! I do have a question regarding this particular post. I hope that I'm not reading the Scripture wrong or misunderstanding it, but Luke 1:3-4 doesn't say anything about "less is more" or the story of the widow giving her pennies (though I do remember the story). Am I not understanding the passage or was there a possible type-o?
ReplyDeleteThank you again for your WONDERFUL work teaching God's word! I wish you many blessings!💟😀✝
Dear Carole, Thank you so much for your kind words and thank you for catching a typo!! :) The link is correct - it goes to Luke 21, not Luke 1, and I will correct the devotion right now! Thanks. I always love when a reader catches something I missed : )
