True Love Hates

If you don't believe that true love hates, you need to take a moment and read this collection of Scripture verses. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

Did you know that true love hates?

It sounds like an oxymoron, but it's scriptural.

"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good." Romans 12:9

"Let those who love the LORD hate evil." Psalm 97:10

True love doesn't tolerate evil. In our "judge not"* world, we need to keep this in mind.

God is loving and He hates evil (Psalm 5:5).

If we want to please God, we will also hate evil.

"Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them ... So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise." Ephesians 5:10-15

  1. Yes, though 1 Cor. 13 is certainly inspiring, I think it's so important to think through what each description of love means as you've done here, Gail. Great post! I hope it inspires many.

  4. It is to detach from the fruit of The Good and Evil and to cling to the Fruit of Life. Very good thought. Thank you.
