The Customer Is Not Always Right—But God Is!

"The customer is always right" is a well-known saying, but it doesn't mean "the customer is always right." It means you treat him as if he's right even when he isn't.

When I worked as a waitress, I sometimes served people who were demanding and irritable. They definitely weren't always right, but I had to act as if they were.

Many human statements have hidden meanings like this one, and some are based on half-truths or outright lies. But when God says something, we can be confident that it's 100% true.

When Scripture says, "The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times," it means the words of the Lord are flawless (Psalm 12:6).

When the Bible says, "The LORD is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does," it means that the Lord is righteous and faithful in every way (Psalm 145:17).

The Bible is full of absolute statements about our incredible God, and these statements are absolutely true.

But this is the question we should ask ourselves: Do we live like we believe these truths?

I encourage you to read Hebrews 11 this week and ponder the faith of those who have gone before us.
