The Born-Alive Act
In January 2023, Republicans introduced a law requiring that doctors cannot murder or neglect babies born alive during an abortion.
The law passed:
✔ 219 Republicans and 1 Democrat voted for the law to prevent doctors from murdering or denying medical care to live-born babies.
✔ 210 Democrats and 0 Republicans voted against the law because they wanted doctors to have the freedom to murder or deny medical care to live-born babies.
✔ This is infanticide, a step beyond abortion.

Passed House (01/11/2023) Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act
“This bill establishes requirements for the degree of care a health care practitioner must provide in the case of a child born alive following an abortion or attempted abortion. Specifically, a health care practitioner who is present must (1) exercise the same degree of care as would reasonably be provided to any other child born alive at the same gestational age, and (2) ensure the child is immediately admitted to a hospital. Additionally, a health care practitioner or other employee who has knowledge of a failure to comply with the degree-of-care requirements must immediately report such failure to law enforcement. A health care practitioner who fails to provide the required degree of care, or a health care practitioner or other employee who fails to report such failure, is subject to criminal penalties—a fine, up to five years in prison, or both. An individual who intentionally kills or attempts to kill a child born alive is subject to prosecution for murder. The bill bars the criminal prosecution of a mother of a child born alive under this bill and allows her to bring a civil action against a health care practitioner or other employee for violations.”
Comments on This Act
Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) described it as “clearly anti-doctor, anti-woman and anti-family.”
“It has no place becoming law. Its proponents claim it would make something illegal that is already illegal,” Murray said on the Senate floor. She added that the legislation would “do nothing except help Republicans advance their goal of denying women their constitutionally protected rights.” (Washington Post)
If the law makes something illegal that is already illegal, why would Murray oppose it? And if it's already illegal, why would she say it denies a woman's constitutional rights? Murray's comment is contradictory, laced with propaganda rhetoric, and untrue. The Constitution does not protect a woman's right to kill her baby, born or unborn.
Vice-President Kamala Harris put this statement on Twitter regarding this law:
“House Republicans passed an extreme bill today that will further jeopardize the right to reproductive health care in our country.
This is yet another attempt by Republican legislators to control women's bodies.” *See source below.
This bill has absolutely nothing to do with a woman's right to reproductive health care. Nothing. It doesn't say anything about birth control or abortion. And it has absolutely nothing to do with a woman's body. It's about the baby's body. Abortion advocates lie about the baby being part of the woman's body during pregnancy, but now they are trying to claim the baby is part of the woman's body after the baby is born.

Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y.:
Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., said the bill would set up new requirements that “directly interfere with the doctors’ medical judgment and dictate a medical standard of care that may not be appropriate in all circumstances.” Nadler, and other members of his party, also argued taking the infant to a hospital may not be in the “best interest of the family.” *See source below.
Since when do we give doctors the freedom to decide whose life deserves to be saved? Since when do we allow a family to decide if they should take a sick family member to the hospital when it could save his/her life?
Pro-abortionists never address abortion for what it is. They refuse to admit it involves the life of the baby, even when the baby is born alive.
Be Honest
These and hundreds of other facts prove that abortion is a foundational value and mission of the Democratic platform. They demand it be legal for any and every reason. They support late-term abortions where babies are torn limb from limb and their skulls are crushed without anesthetic. And they are demanding that women should have a right to kill their babies after they are born. They even refuse to prevent abortion for purposes of gender selection.
If you vote for pro-abortion candidates, you are accepting and helping advance these goals. You can claim that you're pro-life or that you oppose late-term abortions or that you oppose infanticide. But your vote reflects your values more than your words. If you vote Democratic, you are promoting unlimited abortion and infanticide.
