Did You Know There's a Passage in Scripture that Addresses a June Celebration?

There is a passage in Scripture that directly addresses gay pride. This devotion explains.

I think Christians should set aside the month of June for a special purpose related to gay pride.

President Bill Clinton declared June as Gay and Lesbian Pride Month in 1999. Why don't we declare June a month to focus on prayer for people involved in LGBTQ lifestyles.

And let's pray based on God's clear explanations in Romans 1:16-32Notice that Paul begins this important passage by saying, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” And Paul clearly explains that genuine salvation produces “righteousness” in verse 17:

For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: 'The righteous will live by faith.'”

Do we understand the importance of righteousness? Or are we ashamed of God's commands that contradict popular culture?

Next, Paul explains God's wrath, His righteous judgment, without which He would not be a holy God.

Verses 19-20 explain that people who reject God's commands are “without excuse” because they intentionally ignore the evidence in God's creation.

Verses 26-27 clearly explain “shameful lusts” and unnatural sexual relationships.

And it directly addresses taking pride in such sins:

Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. verse 32

According to Psalm 12:7-8The wicked “freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.”

Dear Christians, let's observe Gay and Lesbian Pride Month” by praying for those involved in these lifestyles, asking God to help them take pride in turning from sins that damage their souls.
