Living with Uncertainty

Uncertainty is a powerful emotion. This 1-minute devotion offers the biblical way to handle it.

Uncertainty is a powerful emotion, causing
frustration, discouragement, and confusion.

Covid was a perfect example, affecting employment, education, finances, relationships, and travel. But many other things in life bring with them just as many uncertainties.

God understands and encourages us:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

1. Pray about everything...everything!

2. Pray with thanksgiving.

3. Expect peace that isn’t based on understanding.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

As we walk into our future, let’s remember the words God said to Joshua when he entered the many unknowns of the promised land:

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
