The Deadly Path of Compromise

God says a little compromise always results in greater compromise. This 1-minute devotion gives us Scripture's warnings. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible #Devotions

Christians are called to purity, honesty, and godliness. We must avoid the deadly path of compromise:

  • The person who gives in to sexual sin in a small area usually gets involved in greater sexual sin.
  • The businessman who drops his standards in a small area finds it easier to lower his standards in all areas.
  • The person who accepts “slight” nudity and violence in their entertainment often ends up justifying blatantly evil shows.

When we assume we won’t be affected by slight compromises, we prove our ignorance of human nature and Scripture.

Luke 16:10 sets us straight: “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”

“Therefore let the one who thinks he stands firm [immune to temptation, being overconfident and self-righteous], take care that he does not fall [into sin and condemnation].” 1 Corinthians 10:12

Are you being careful? Is there an area where you need to come clean?
