Eight Years of Good from Bad
Today is my 68th birthday (July 18, 2019).
I’ve been writing Bible Love Notes for eight years, and I want to share two ways God has shown me His faithful and miraculous love these last eight years:
π 1. Good from bad. Romans 8:28
I was depressed about a family situation, and I started Bible Love Notes to keep focused on God’s Word. Studying and writing devotions has continued to sustain my faith despite the fact that my family situation has grown worse. I know, without a doubt, that God’s Word is the best medicine for a broken heart.
π 2. More than we can imagine. Ephesians 3:20
Starting with 50 friends and family members as subscribers, I never imagined that eight years later I’d have 20,000+ subscribers! And even more amazing than the numbers are the people God has added to the Bible Love Notes ministry.
Bible Love Notes makes no profit. We don't run ads and we'd never use our subscriber list to make money. But we have an amazing staff: prayer team leader, editor, image creator, and five translators.
God has connected me with these women in ways that only He could orchestrate. We live on three different continents and in seven different countries: the United States, Hungary, Serbia, Holland, Uruguay, Brazil, and Suriname. But we're united in the same purpose.
π This reminds me of another part of my story...and it's part of your story too (if you're a Christ-follower):
Before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10

P.S. This devotion is longer than most of my devotions. I allow myself 2-3 minutes on my birthday instead of 1 minute. If you'd like to read last year's birthday post, it's here: 7 Characteristics of Modern Christians.
---------------------------------
I'm so grateful for Linda, Cathy, Viola, Marika, Aritha, Silvia, Maria, and Esther. In addition to these ladies, my husband Michael is Bible Love Note's hands-on advisor. I don't exaggerate when I say that I couldn't do what I do without his leadership, advice, help, and support.
Bible Love Notes is now translated into Hungarian (A szeretet ΓΌzenete), Dutch (Dutch Bible Love Notes), Spanish (Cartas de amor De Dios), and Portuguese (Blog Notas de Amor na BΓblia).
We have a prayer group and a discussion group on Facebook, plus Facebook pages that have over half a million combined followers: Bible Love Notes and Psalms & Proverbs and Doors of Joy in Jesus.
We have over 80,000 followers on Pinterest and healthy followings on Twitter and Instagram.
Please join in on any of these social media sites and help us share God's Word! God just might use you more than you could imagine!

Happy Birthday Gail. My birthday just happens to be July 18th too (1965). However, I live on the east coast (the Carolinas) and I will celebrate my 54th birthday (Lord willing) tomorrow. May God continue to use to bring understanding to others of His Word. Remain steadfast in the work of the Lord Gail...steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in Him.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Gail. I am always blessed by your posts. ππ

ReplyDeleteHi Aritha, Gail mentioned your name in the devotion "more than we can imagine", you must be the Dutch friend. My wife is also from The Netherlands, born and raised in a small town outside Arnhem, it's called Doesburg. Holland is a wonderful country and I've been lucky to visit there a few times. I even learned a little bit of the language: volgens mij het is makkelijk om te leren! De Groeten - Manny
