When asked if she thought homosexuality was a sin, Lauren Daigle, a professing Christian singing artist said:
"I can’t honestly answer that. I have too many people that I love, and they are homosexual.” (source)
Let's consider her response:
Should we would change our view of sins because we have loved ones involved? Should we accept adultery, premarital sex, pedophilia, lying, cheating, theft, or murder if our loved ones are doing these things?
God’s commands about homosexuality are every bit as clear as His commands about these other sins. Scripture says our homosexual friends will not inherit the kingdom of God unless they repent (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
If we genuinely love someone, we won't remain silent about the serious consequences of their lifestyle choices. When we genuinely love God, we aren't ashamed of His commands (John 14:23).
God wants us to love people enough to warn them of their sins, even if it makes us unpopular (James 5:20; Galatians 6:1).

If she knew what the Bible teaches but answered in this way, she violated a number of God's commands. See Mark 8:38 and Colossians 3:9.

Gail, thanks for this! It is a great way to explain the love of God to those who are walking in darkness without be offensive or judgmental. People need the Lord and as His children we must not be ashamed of His gospel.
