Square Pegs
Despite their different beliefs, unsaved people are all square pegs fitting into a square hole of unbelief (Ephesians 4:17-18).
We were once square pegs too, but we’re being transformed into the image of Christ (Ephesians 4:22-24).
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
When we accept Christ, God’s Word comes alive to us, meets us where we live, convicts us of sin, and begins changing our world view.(1)
We stop conforming and start transforming. The wonderful result is a keener understanding of God’s will - His good, pleasing and perfect will!
The renewal process involves learning God’s ways (Ephesians 5:10; 2 Timothy 2:15) and practicing obedience (James 1:22).
The world is filled with square peg temptations (1 John 2:15-17). But with God's help, we can refuse them.
