Are You Swimming Close to the Whirlpool?
Suppose you were swimming near a dangerous whirlpool where many had been sucked to their deaths.
But you knew a few folks who swam close to the whirlpool and lived to tell about it.
Would you keep your distance or take your chances?
I ask this because I see a growing number of genuine believers swimming close to whirlpools of paganism, deception, and false teachings as if there is no danger.
God has always warned His people to separate ourselves from such things (Deuteronomy 12:1-4).
In fact, being holy means being "set apart" (1 Peter 1:16), and it's an important aspect of our faith (2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
Unfortunately, many pagan and worldly values have crept into Christian culture. We need to be on our guard.
Let's carefully examine our lives, dear Christians, and make sure we are "set apart" from ungodly influences. It's a necessary part of our spiritual growth and a necessary part of our witness to unbelievers (1 Peter 2:12).

I hope you will read about one of these areas where I think Christians are swimming too close to the whirlpool of deception: Could This Pagan Influence Be Affecting Your Faith?
