Jesus Will Overthrow Him With a Breath

Do you know who Jesus will overthrow with a breath from His mouth? Just like wiping a piece of lint off of His shoulder. I think this 1-minute devotion will encourage you.

Have you ever blown a small piece of lint off your shoulder?

I thought of this when I was reading 2 Thessalonians 2 which describes the anti-Christ, the “lawless one,” who will exalt himself as ruler of the world claiming he’s God. He will be the supremacy of evil and worldly power.

But listen to verse 8:
"And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming."

Our Jesus will overthrow the anti-Christ like blowing a piece of lint from his shoulder.

And Christ’s splendor alone will destroy him.

Christ is the Lamb of God, but we dare not underestimate the power of our Lord.

If you want a glimpse of the glory, power, honor, and supremacy of our Lord, take a moment and read about His coming in Revelation 19:11-16.

  3. It is scary to face the end of a problem cause it does get worse before it gets better. Much like childbirth. But when we run strong - the rewards are so much more than that pain. This verse is really about that future we look forward to with Jesus.. by the breath of His mouth..... It makes me excited
