Please Pray for Me in 2013

with 3 of my granddaughters at Thanksgiving
A new year is good for taking stock of our lives.

The Bible says “if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves” we would spare ourselves some loving but difficult discipline from the Lord
(1 Corinthians 11:27-32).

I start 2013:
  • Grateful to God for the ways I served Him well in 2012.
  • Sorry for things I did poorly, failing to love and trust God as I should.
  • Grateful for ways God has shown his love and character through flesh and blood people in my life.
  • Sad because no matter what I do, I can’t seem to please some people I love dearly.
  • Realizing I take many of my undeserved blessings for granted.
But reflection should lead to projection, so I ask you to pray that I will be:

with my daughter and her son
I appreciate your prayers, and I will start keeping a prayer list for my readers this year, so please share your requests in a comment or at my email address: gail.purath @yahoo.com.
with love in Christ,
Gail

    1. Dear Roxy, Thank you so much for your prayers. And thank you so much for the support of having my blog on your side bar. I'm not at all amazing, Roxy. I deal with wrong attitudes everyday. But Jesus is amazing, and He often gives me victory and picks me up when I fall down. Your support is an encouragement and a blessing. I will also be praying for you this year. Thanks!

  11. I have just run across your blog and know that it will bless me. I also have 7 grandchildren and have been married 41 years. For the past 6 years, I have struggled with health issues and my husband has been such a wonderful caregiver and so tender in his care for me and making sure I don't do too much and on the other hand, that I don't isolate myself. That is such a praise for how our relationship. My prayer is that my unsaved children would come to know Him....I know He is working in their lives. Oh, how I long to see the day they are walking with the Lord. I will be praying for you and your family as well.

    1. Dear Jane,
How fun to hear how our lives resemble each other. I pray that your health will improve and thank God for the character and care of your husband. My husband has also been such a wonderful blessing to me as I've struggled with health. And God has blessed him with very good health, which is a gift to both of us. I also pray that your unsaved children will come to know the Lord...I know how much your mother's heart must ache for this.
I will put your needs on my prayer list.
      Bless you,
      Gail
