Secular studies show that a "gratitude attitude" can benefit body and mind.
Grateful people are happier and healthier, and fewer of them get depressed or discouraged.
These secular studies simply confirm what God has been telling us all along.
A cheerful heart is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22), and prayer with thanksgiving keeps our hearts and minds at peace (Philippians 4:6-7).
Therefore, let's focus on "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy" (Philippians 4:8).
Grateful people don't necessarily have better circumstances than ungrateful people. But they have a better perspective.
Cheer up! Think about things that bring you joy, and your heart, soul, and mind will be healthier!

Wow, how funny that is what I said in other words in my post in FB "Thanksgiving is the essence of happiness" I truly believe that we need to constantly review our list of "things to be grateful for". Thanks Gail!!
