We were driving along a two-lane country road in Hungary.
A car went by and blinked his lights at us, then another and another. A few of the drivers made a little signal with their hands that we didn’t recognize, but we were pretty sure they were warning us of a speed check ahead.
Sure enough, several miles up the road was a radar car.
Funny how we have this universal desire to help fellow drivers avoid a traffic ticket.
But it gives me an interesting and convicting thought. The Bible says that everyone who doesn’t trust Jesus is headed for something far worse than a traffic ticket:
“For the wages of sin is death [eternal death], but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23 NIV
Am I blinking my (His) lights and sending them signals?
